Our story
We met as teenagers and instantly bonded through music. We would spend countless hours playing and singing together simply because we loved it.
Over time, we realized that when we performed together, it was more than just music and lyrics. People connected with our chemistry, the blending of our voices, and our love for music and for each other.
Today we bring that same authenticity to each wedding, party, and event: just the two of us, a guitar, and the ability to create moments that feel warm, polished, and memorable.
The inspiration behind our names
Gus & Jean aren't our names. They're the names of the two people who played a much bigger role in our story than they ever could have imagined.
Our duo's name comes from one of our grandparents, the original Gus and Jean, who introduced us as teenagers. We instantly became best friends and fell in love. Recently, we celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary and we're as inseparable as ever.
When it came time to name our acoustic duo, Gus & Jean felt like the perfect choice. Not only because they brought us together, but because the qualities we admired in them are what we strive to bring to every event: warmth, kindness, simplicity, and a unique way of making people feel comfortable and welcome.
Our approach
We've always been drawn to music that feels timeless. Songs that make people smile, sing along, look at each other and say, "I love this song!"
